The Kaminski House Museum and Stewart-Parker House: A visit to these historic homes is a must excursion for history buffs. Constructed in 1769, the Kaminski House Museum sits majestically on the banks of the Sampit River. The house was originally built by a wealthy merchant for his spinster daughter. Some of the furnishings and decorative arts on display date from the early 1700s, and several pieces are of national and international significance. Nearby, the Stewart-Parker House, built circa 1740, is one of the oldest homes in Georgetown.
